Do you have a child who is facing challenges in reading, writing, math, or spelling? Does your child struggle with skills related to processing, memory, executive functioning, emotions, or self-regulation? Educational therapy offers personalized, one-on-one sessions that target the root causes of learning difficulties- those that may be impacting your child's confidence and success in school.

Using a whole-child approach, educational therapy strengthens both academic skills and self-esteem, helping students become more independent, capable, and confident learners.  Unlike traditional tutoring, educational therapy focuses not just on what your child learns,  but on how they learn.  If your child is struggling, educational therapy can make a meaningful difference.

What is educational therapy?

Educational therapy is a specialized approach to helping students who struggle with learning challenges. It combines elements of teaching and therapeutic interventions, aiming to address specific learning difficulties such as dyslexia, ADHD, processing disorders, or other academic challenges. The therapy focuses on the individual needs of the student and often involves a combination of one-on-one sessions, customized learning strategies, and emotional support to help improve academic skills, build self-confidence, and foster a love of learning.

At Learn2Learn we work with children of all ages, helping those who have been previously diagnosed with learning disabilities or are currently facing challenges within their academic endeavors. We also work with parents who are concerned with their child’s academic progress and would like some initial assessments into his or her child’s strengths and weaknesses.

Educational therapy offers several benefits, particularly for students who face learning challenges. Here are some of the key advantages:

  • Educational therapy helps students strengthen specific academic skills, such as reading, writing, math, and organizational skills. The individualized instruction focuses on areas where students need the most support.

  • Since the therapy is tailored to each student's unique learning style and needs, it can address their specific challenges, allowing them to progress at their own pace.

  • By addressing academic difficulties and seeing improvement, students often experience a boost in their self-esteem and confidence. This can lead to a more positive attitude toward learning and school.

  • For students who experience frustration, anxiety, or a lack of motivation due to learning difficulties, educational therapy provides emotional support and coping strategies, creating a safe space for students to express and manage these feelings.
